The helpdesk that runs on your own AI key

The simplest way to run customer support.

AI answers the routine questions on your own key, for about 3¢ each instead of $0.99. Your team handles the rest.

Free 30-day trial, no card, no contract. One flat price per agent, AI uncapped.

One flat price per agent. Nothing per answer

Most helpdesks charge you every time their AI does its job

The model behind a support answer costs cents. Everything above that is markup, billed per answer, so the better the AI gets, the more you pay.

Intercom
$0.99 per Fin outcome

On top of seats. A resolution, a hand-off to a human and a disqualification each bill the same.

Help Scout
$0.75 per AI Answers resolution

An add-on on top of seats. Drafting and summarising are included; the chatbot that answers customers is metered.

Zendesk
$1.50 per automated resolution

On a committed volume, on top of seats. Pay-as-you-go resolutions bill $2.00 each.

What the difference looks like

A 10-agent team whose AI handles 1,500 conversations a month. Same answers, three bills.

AI fees = 1,500 × the vendor's published rate. Kerux's ~3¢ is a measured cost on a small, fast model, paid to your provider; it runs 1–5¢ depending on model and ticket length. Seat prices differ by vendor and plan.

One email with these exact numbers. No sequence, no sales call unless you ask for one.

Up and running in three steps

New conversations arrive the moment forwarding is on. Sending from your own domain needs a few DNS records; most verify within the hour, though DNS can occasionally take up to 48 hours.

Fin bills $0.99 per outcome. On Kerux the same answer costs about 3¢ on your own key.

  3. 3. Connect your AI key and pick a model

Why Kerux exists

We built Kerux after reading two numbers side by side. Intercom's pricing page: $0.99 every time Fin produces an outcome, on top of seats. Then we ran a real support answer through a small, fast model on our own key: about 3¢. Same answer. The gap wasn't the AI, it was the meter. So we built the helpdesk the other way round: the AI runs on a key you own, and the only thing you pay us for is seats.

Frequently asked questions

Everything teams ask before switching.

You connect an API key from your own AI provider. Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. There is no built-in or default key: you pick the provider, and Kerux uses your key to draft and resolve tickets. Your AI usage is billed by your provider under your own terms, never by us.

Creating one takes a couple of minutes. The in-app setup guide walks you through getting a key from a provider and connecting it. Most teams are done before their coffee cools.

No. Kerux never uses your data to train models. Ticket content is sent to the AI provider you configured only to classify tickets and write replies, under that provider's own terms.

Three steps: forward your support address to your Kerux inbox, connect an AI key, and add a few help-center articles so the AI has real answers to ground itself in. New conversations arrive as soon as forwarding is on. Sending from your own domain needs a few DNS records; most verify within the hour, though DNS can occasionally take up to 48 hours.

Yes. Settings → Import tickets brings over your conversations, customers and internal notes from Zendesk, Intercom, Help Scout or Freshdesk, with their original dates. Attachments aren't imported. Point your support email forwarding at Kerux and new conversations flow in right away.

Yes. Switch or cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. There's no contract and no cancellation fee; your subscription simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
